Purchasing a Mazda 6s...Need some lease info from ya'll

I went into a dealership today and told the salewoman that i had 3000 to put down on a Mazda 6s. the model they showed me was approximately 23000 bucks. to my shock, they offered me 393/month financing and 402/month lease!!! i couldnt' believe what i was hearing. i there anyone here who has dealt with leasing a 6 or any other car that thinks 402 is way too high for a lease payment. i'm new at this process so this really freaked me out

Why would you want to lease a car? Don't you want to have something to show for your money after paying so much?

My suggestion: buy it.

at 400/month? seems kind of steep...i know what you're saying though, i'd like to own as well, but i have a budget to keep

if u lease, might as well leave a bmw

but spending $400 a month...might as well buy it and finance it...then when u can't pay anymore sell it

Any lease is a ripoff. Buy the damn thing.

300 bucks is my budget...which i think i could get for a lease on the 6s, i don't think i can get anywhere near 300 in financing

I'm paying $400 a month for 60 months to buy my 2002 loaded Mazda Millenia. I didn't put any money down.

I wouldn't pay $23,000 for a Mazda 6. See if you can't get them down a couple of thousand dollars. Granted, the car is so new, they might not budge much on the price. However, it doesn't hurt to try. Also, I'd avoid the lease and buy the car if you can.
