purchasing a laptop

im interested in purchasing a high end laptop for multimedia video and audio editing.

im looking at anywhere from $1000 all the way up to $4000.

can you guys make some suggestions as to what will be the best for me, if you have any questions i will try and answer them asap

PC Torque has some nice Sager setups for sale.

There's a killer model, available from both Sager and Hypersonic, as well as a few others (I think VooDoo might carry it). From Sager - it's the 3790-S. You get a Dothan, ram, 15.4" widescreen, good hard drive, wireless, 128mb vram, etc.

i cant, in good conscience, recommend anything but a mac.

but, if youre not willing to buy a powerbook, check out abspc, alienware, voodoopc, or falcon-nw.
