Hey guys,

I've found an unbelievable deal on a salvaged s2000, it's dirt cheap and I want to pick it up as a second car.

It's in California, and I'm in Vancouver.. I'll need to get it brought up here.. before I can purchase the car I need to get it inspected, I'm a member of my local AAA and I know they do local inspections, can this be arranged for another part of the country?

As well, should I draw up some sort of basic contract?

You should get someone to look at it, photo it, have a mechanical check done.
And by all means, get the VIN and run a Carfax on it ... see what it shows. I would
also suggest some sort of contract. Consult with a local attorney ... should not be
too costly and may well prevent a major monetary loss. In this case, you are buying
a salvaged car, so no telling easily why it was salvage ... Serious crash, theft recovery, flood car.

Yeah, how do I go about getting inspected by someone local? I don't know how to go about doing that.
