Purchased the Epson 777 instead of 880 - Bad Choice?

So I was at Best Buy yesterday buying some parts for my new rig (the Samsung 955DF is on rebate, the Herc GTXP is on clearance, the Epson printers are on rebate, and the ATi TV Wonder VE is on rebate). Anyways, I went there planning to get the Epson 880 for $90 with rebate. They apparently had no more left in stock (according to the dumb saleskid who I'm certain didn't even know). So I opted for the 777, for $60 with rebate.

I'm reading some reviews on the 'Net, and I'm reading that the 777 is much louder (I know the 880 is QUIET), and the print quality isn't as good as the 880. Trouble is, I already opened the 777 box. I don't know what BB's return policy is, I hope I'm not stuck with the 777.

Is the 777 drastically worse than the 880? Is the $30 difference between the two enough to make me get off my ass and go through the hassle of returning the 777 and getting an 880?

According to this thread from the Hot Deals forum, the 880 is supposedly much better than the 777.

<< The Epson 777 is a current model with 2880 x 720 dpi but it is slower than the 880, and has lower quality output. The 880 is a much better printer. >>

Also, according to Parn in the same thread, the 880 can be bought for $45 + tax.

BestBuy should not hassle you on the return of a printer. Usually, only laptop computer and camcorders have special policies. They might say something about the ink consumption if you have already installed the cartridges, though.

I think the 880 should be real sweet. I have the 860 and have been quite happy with it - especially, since I can pick up 2 black and 2 color cartridges for $18.99 from a vendor at my local computer shows. Also, CompUSA has a better deal on the 880 this week. The price is $99.97 after a $50.00 price break. Plus, CompUSA is offering a $30 gift card by mail with this purchase.

Yeah the 880 is better. The ink cartridge last longer. It has a inkdrop that is 33% smaller. It is also much quieter. I own a 777 and it's pretty loud. Lots of people in the dorms have the 880 and it's quiet. Print quality is negligible unless you are printing pictures.
