My new job could really use a laptop for networking testing purposes at clients homes. I also will sometimes use it for LAN Parties(once everyother month tops). I am going to buy it tomarrow mourning unless I hear of some reasons to hold off. Any new breakthroughs coming out soon in the laptop market? I will be purchasing this a Best Buy only(don't ask, I will get a good discount), so if there seems to be a new mainstream improvement like the 9700chip that stores like Best Buy will carry, please let me know. If not I will come home with the M6805 and load Xp Pro on it. Thanks for any opinions.

why not look at the dell inspiron 9100, i just bought one. it was about $300 cheaper than the emachines, and included an ati 9700, and can be upgraded by dell (when the x800 module comes out)
