Purchased a Rebel XT - should I get an extended warranty?

I've seen some extended warranties companies advertised on the web. Mack is one of the more common ones. Anyone have experience with a second party (3rd party?) warranty company for a camera?
 
maybe you could use the credit card one some people talk about. i've never used it, but many here seem to have done so

Some credit cards offer extended protection if you purchase the item with their card. Not sure if my bank does that, I should check. I read a little about the Mack warranty and one post I read said that they make it hard to collect on the warranty.
