I spec'd one of these cars out trying to get it like the car I currently own (navi and all that fun stuff) and my god... they go up in price quickly 😱. It'd probably cost me around 44k to get one that I like (AWD with Navi (so the highest package)).

$44k wow, you're like in BMW territory. might as well get a 3 series.

3 series with a small motor and pleather, maybe

The one thing I will say in general though, is that Pontiac builds the worst looking cars known to man. I have no problems with GM or any other manu... is Pontiac GM? I think it is, pure coincidence though. BTW, I don't "own a BMW", I own an X5... the sweetest farking SUV (SAV)... and that's all I care about. Oh, it's built in America too.

You are indeed correct.

no, base 335 with a couple of options, or basically loaded 328xi.

What makes a loaded 328xi better than a CTS? The 335 is nice, but I think I'd go for a CTS over the 328.

I swear they just took the Sunfire body and elongated it for that car.

That would be a good guess. They did just that.

hate to bump an old thread, but how has this car turned out for you so far? i'm looking to lease one soon, i'd just like to know what options are on the car. does it have the base motor or the DI? what packages did you get for it?

Thanks

not to rain on your parade OP but why is everyone all over the CTS' nuts?
it's extremely heavy, not particularly great on gas, not a great performer.
it's a good cruiser and the only thing it really has above the rest is that it's larger inside.

interior quality, IS350 and A4 has it beat.
driving dynamics, G35 and 335 has it beat.
power/speed, G35, 335, IS350 and TL has it beat.
Fuel economy, IS350 and TL has it beat.
Value for the $, G35 and TL has it beat.
Exterior looks are subjective so i won't go into that.

i know caddy has made great strides in this newest release but it's not the best at anything in its class. it's jsut merely avg to slightly above avg.
everyone here is praising it like it's the second coming, when it really isn't. it's kinda like cheering for the kid that's consistently finishing in last place, except this year he finished second to last.

but if you're happy with it OP, good for you.

G35 sedan looks like ass, TL is just a Honda, the new A4 is meh at best all around (stands out at nothing) and IIRCS 335i runs a lot more than the caddy.

a very nice ass 😉

You live in Kent?

If so, I'll be over in about five minutes for a ride. 😛

I went to college at Kent State. I live a little further south in Ohio now.

Both of my cousins went there/graduated

Stop misleading the ignorant masses. Any car person knows the GTO is really based on an elongated Cavalier with a specially tuned version of the V6 from the Grand Am.

Nice car OP. I don't like American (domestic) cars that much but that one certainly is effin hot. What I am most surprised with is the interior. Every American car I have driven had terrible interior and that looks pretty good. Cheers.

That and they used all the left over interior parts from the Aztec to finish it up.
