Puppeteers must have extreme arm and hand dexterity

Watched "Being Elmo" and I couldn't imagine having my arm in the upright position long periods of time with only short breaks in between. In addition, having to practice over and over on the puppet's mouth, head, and body movements to get them to look just right.
