Punkbuster Problems with Windows 7 64bit

Chunkee

Lifer
Playing CODWorld at War multiplayer. I installed (fresh) windows 7 64bit, installed steam, installed etc. Now, when I play a map, it flashes black for a moment, then kicks out. I looked around and found some points to punkbuster a and b executables. However, they are not in the system 32 folder, they are in a wow 64 folder. I downloaded punkbuster and manually updated cod world at war and i can play, but get the temp black screen still. I am thinking it is a punkbuster thing with 64bit windows 7. Last OS was 64bit Vista...seemed to work okay.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, did you find a fix?

thanks

Had the same problem with World at War, punkbuster, and Win7 x64 Ult. Downloaded the PB updater, ran it, it found the correct WAW folder, and updated the files. Ran fine after that.

I'd try the updater if you haven't already (not sure when you said "manually updated").
