Punching bags

I'm thinking of getting myself a punching bag or something of that sort. Problem is, my place is spanking new and i can't exactly start drilling holes in the floor or celling to mount one, nor do i have any trees around my house to hang one on. Does anyone know of alternative methods that don't require doing any damage to my surroundings? 🙂 I'm open to all suggestions as usual.

They have punching bags or man shaped dummies that are attached to a stand. Try looking them up online at one of the online sports store pages.

A friend used to have a stand, kind of like a big C. You just couldn't hit it super hard or at every angle.

heh, I actualy just bought a punching bag. I got it from sam clubs, its a 70lb everlast. It comes with mounting kit, gloves, and wraps. Pretty good deal to, just payed 60 bucks. I hung it in my basement. if you want a real one check it out, its rather nice for beginners, 🙂

does it mount to the ceiling or did it have a stand of some sort?

Go to the slaughterhouse and punch a couple slabs of ribs like Rocky.
Doesn't work too well, unless what you're looking for is a whole fistful (pardon the pun!) of fractured bones. If you do this at least wear lots of wraps and gloves.

Bumped into those just minutes earlier. They look promising, but does anyone have any experience with them?

I have one, and you can't hit it really hard, or the rocking motion will move the thing all over the place.

I'm looking to get rid of mine (perfect condition), so if you want it, make me an offer. 😀
