Some time ago I bought a watercooling kit that came with one of those small outside water boxes with the pump inside. Because of my setup and the fact I have a bit of hose, I dont think this little pump can do as good as it should anymore so I went out and bought a bigger box for a pond pump that I have. While testing for leaks and such I noticed that the water got rather warm, I know they produce some heat but I didnt think it was as much as it was.

What I would like to know is what kind of temp difference there is between a sub pump line a pond pump and a pump like the Eheim's that dont have to be in water? The other question is where could I get a Eheim pump? I know dangerden.com sells them but I was hopping to find a local store first, suggestions?

Aquariums are my other hobby. You can get the pumps at marinedepot.com, try Supreme-Mag pumps good quality, cheaper price. Both inline and submerged pumps add some small amount of heat, but if your resevoir is bid enough should be no different. Eheim and Mag drives can be run either submerged or inline.
