Who says ads have to be directly relevent/linked to the product they're advertising in any way.

It's an image that you see, and will quite possibly remember, and when you remember the image, you'll associate Puma with it.

It's advertising, that's how it works, subliminal messages, it's subtle. That's the best form of advertising, something that will stick in your head.

I bet in a week you'll still remember those pictures, and that it was for Puma, whereas you'll not remember some other ads you've seen!

Confused

I probably will, and I will also remember that I don't want to buy that brand because of that ad.

It doesn't say to me, "wow that looks good."

It just says..."messy."

Please, degrading to women? You don't hear men bitching about how ads for tools or sports are degrading to us because it makes us seem like simple minded idiots. When it comes to women, sex sells. When it comes to men, ego sells.

I'm sure if this had been an ad that implied a man was engaging in oral relations on a woman, all the woman would be saying 'it's about damn time!' or something along those lines. Go back to drinking your evian.

this is degrading to women? Ok, I agree

but what Isn't degrading anymore? I mean COME ON, really.

Gucci- degrading
Victorias Secret- degrading
any panty hose commercial or ad- degrading

seriously, women are always portrayed as objects, objecting to this would mean you have to object to every other single ad with a woman on it (practically)

unless you just take degrees.. she is "less" of an object, or this ad isnt quite as degrading... etc etc

Whoa! calm down. No, i am not one of "those women" . If you read my post i said i was
not sure as to why i was taken back by those ads. I have no problem with sex at all, and am quite open about it... i was just a bit surprised to see that, if in fact it is a real ad. I guess i should heed my own advise and have an open mind

If it's 'degrading' then perhaps the money hungry fashion victims shouldn't do the ads?

lol

I wish it was possible for men to be degraded. I'd be getting a hell of a lot more money.

I'm too in-your-face for them. I think I'll just have to stick to companies whose products aren't targeted at the bottom rung of society.
