Pulstar Spark Plugs

My Dad wants me to try these in my TSX to see if they actually improve fuel economy/performance. I guess he wants me to be a test dummy before he puts em in his 135i.

They look like a gimmick to me but what do I know. Anyone use em? They're 25$ a pop...

Falls under the simple rule. If it worked that well for what it cost then GM, toyota, Ford, etc... would have them in from the factory.

Save your money for gas and maintaines items, not junk like this.

Instead of 50 watts of peak power typical of all spark plugs, pulse plugs deliver up to 10 times more peak power.
I have never ever heard of anyone using Watts in reference to spark plugs. This seems to me basically the equivalent of having a hotter ignition coil. I don't recall many cars tooling around with 100kV ignition coils.

If I blew 200 duckets on some spark plugs, I'd probably really want them to work.

Reports on these plugs are all over the place.

I'm sure there are threads with people who are happy with their fuel magnets.

I used to belong to a very closeknit automotive forum and there was one guy who swore up and down that those fuel magnets helped big time.

Thanks for your input folks, I kinda figured it was a gimmick.

I think my car has lifetime plugs anyway since there's nothing in the maintenance journal about changing them...

Surely they need to be changed at the 100k mark at best, I would think.
I could be wrong, I guess.

Well my dad was researching this and he found an independent review with dyno tests. I think it was at sparkplug.com or something like that. Anyway, they found a 3hp improvement using these (which is probably within the margin for error) so not worth the money I guess.

As for mine, I don't know. The owners manual spells out everything scheduled for my car. Seems like it should have the plugs listed in there somewhere but it doesn't. I'll probably change em anyway though.
