When the computer is on, it does a 0.5 second freeze every 3 seconds. At first I thought it was the video card since i have 2 monitors running, and both monitors are seeing the same effect. Then I noticed in a game, when the screen does its freeze, the sound does a crackle noise. I got a x-fi xtrememusic sound card and a 7800 gt video card. So I dont think its the sound card or video card problem. Could it be the motherboard or cpu?
Edit1:Forgot to mention i have a 3500+ amd cpu, a clearance asus a8n-e board i got a few days ago, and 2 gigs of platinum ocz ram. The skipping started yesterday, and i've had the board the whole weekend and it was fine.
