On this one song (don't remember the artist [actually, I do, but they're just such a lame and cliche' artist I don't want to admit to listening to them]) there's this siren at the end, that always sounds really loud and realistic when wearing headphones. Barely noticable with speakers. Back when I used to listen to crappy music, that song got me all the time. The first time I heard it on headphones, everybody in the room looked at me funny.

Meh. I shall require at least 5 more seperate requests for the title before I am guilted into shaming myself by revealing the title.

I know what you're talking about though psychoacoustics can be some weird stuff. I went on a tour of alcatraz, and they gave us these little boxes with headphones and there would be sirens and people talking on the recording, and Id constantly be turning around looking for something to happen because I heard the stuff, and it had distance and the right amount of delay, tone, etc.

all right. I'll report back after I, uhh, purchase the cd.

edit: it's still not very loud but it does sound pretty realistic.

Wow, where do they have a 24-hour music store around you? Oh, I get it, you were using iTunes!
