I live in PR a small overpopulated (4 million people 2 million cars) island thats not a state but has very strong ties with the US. (We are all US citizens too).. The computer industry is as strong as US.. computers evolved the same way as the US (well in the begining was slower, you know, we might get used computers and stuff... in the 60s, 70s ect.. once in the 80s it was the same for all matters)... I have seen the PC boon and know I see the the anti-boon...

Well the thing is months ago PC software stores (2 Gamestops, 2 EBX) used to have about 75% or more of the store dedicaded to PC games.. that number kept going down, until yesterday I realized that PC games are down to one aisle lets say is acutually less than 25% of the store... no sings of things getting better as the new games they bring are the big releases as AvP 2 and WCIII (those were the only two I saw that were new).. The way I see people aint upgrading or buying PCs.. I wonder if the same might happen to the whole US.

Those stores are doing exactly the same thing here in the US. They're focusing almost entirely on consoles, and PC software isn't given much space.

And rightfully so. Not only are there more console games released on a daily basis, but they sell better too.

In another year or 2 when console sales start to slow down, PC sales will go up a bit - just like they did during the end of the N64 and PSX era.

IMO.

Its simple. PC games annually generate $1.6-2.2billion in revenue. Console games generate $6.5-8billion in revenue. Thats just US numbers.
