First True the Vote was found to have completely made up their claims and "data" and now this:

The conservative media company behind the book and film “2,000 Mules,” which alleged a widespread conspiracy by Democrats to steal the 2020 election and was embraced by former President Donald Trump, has issued an apology and said it would halt distribution of the film and remove both the film and book from its platforms.


 
That is more owning up I have seen than from Fox. I hope they get all their money back from Dinesh D'Souza
 
I wonder how many death threats D'Sousa is getting. Surely it can't be that only one side that is projecting its own inner violence on the faces of the other side. Why isn't the evil dark state taking conservatives out with drones? Surely it can't be that the only tool those who love freedom have to fight with is more democracy and elections!

The only thing that causes an authoritarian coward to own up is the threat of a crippling lawsuit. Consequences are what come as a big surprise to people living in a fictional reality.
 
What's going to be really fun is when our good friend Dinesh publishes '3000 mules' after the 2024 election and people dismiss it conservatives will be like 'you're only dismissing it because you can't refute it on the merits!'

For the most part the movie and book have served its purpose as far as Trump's supporters are concerned. The word was spread and more than likely considered to be an authoritative piece of work that was thoroughly researched and factually represented. What remains out there in the wild will not be judged by the retraction and apology. That apology will never see the light of day in the Trump universe. Rather it will stand as what the conservatives have wistfully made it come true in their minds: more proof that the Democrats stole the election, no matter that over 60 court cases spread out over the nation found that there was no fraud perpetrated as the Trumpers alleged. They literally shut the door behind them after reading and hearing what they "knew all along".

There's hardly any difference between Trump's cult following and those Branch Davidians and Waco Koresh whack jobs. They took a walk to the light and found it wasn't anything like they were promised. Same will hold true for the Trumpers too.
 
I vaguely recall one of the regular troll/shit posters on here making a thread about this movie, but I also think I get it confused with a different movie from around the same time? The one about the group saving sex trafficked children or whatever? The latter isn't even a documentary its just a movie "based on a true story" I believe?
