Of course its always manslaughter, not murder. And I bet a dollar no human working at or for the company sees a day in prison. But at least they are giving the appearance of justice for corporations.

California murder statutes would not apply here at all. There was no intentional act to produce a homicide but rather neglect. If that neglect is sufficiently reckless, manslaughter is the exact right charge according to the text.
