Public Service Announcement (PSA): Do not turn off Inter-WU download gap in SetiQueue!

He got a long line of 0.414 AR WUs, all recorded from the same kinda time.

If you put on the Inter WU download gap, then it will wait, the time you specify between WU downloads, and will hopefully get you a better spread of WUs.

At least that's what I think he's going the hell on about!! 😉

You might want to try:

Inter-WU download gap 0 minutes
Inter-WU VLAR gap 4 minutes

That way if there are good WU's available in a batch, you get then right away,
yet if VLARs are there it waits 4 minutes beofre downloading another.

Okay, I'll volunteer to say it.. I don't understand. 😕

That is one of the queues in my setiqueue holding work units waiting to be sent to my clients. They are all low angle range wu's which take longer to process.

The interWU delay tells the queue to wait that many minutes before downloading the next WU. I had it off and it downloaded about 40 wu's from Berkley all with the same AR without giving their servers time to spread out those wu's to others.

I'll give that a try 🙂.

Okay, that's a bit clearer.. sort of..

While I do have the option turned on to look for "Sweet" workunits, I'm not terribly worried about WUs that may take a little longer to complete as the work has to be done by someone.

You were lucky they weren't 0.00x AR WUs!😉 ,0.414 will barely be any slower than normal 0.417 WUs🙂

Thanks for that ,I've tweaked my Q to your settings ,previously it was 1 & 1min
