Maybe a little late... I've already installed Nimo. But I don't have any problems with my machine whatsoever.

I agree with you though... if you could package those 2 up as nicely as Nimo, I'd buy what you're selling.

Does this ffdshow really give you better quality video than the regular divx codec?

i should be a public spokesman for the Nimo Codec...that package is great! I've never had any problems installing or had any video/codec conflicts. Nimo=#1 in my book. Besides, packaged by the same guy that made WinAmp.

Do you know who doom9 is? ;)

I want to know, because he/she is one of my idols....

I have installed the codec pack on multiple computers without issue.

Sounds like an operator problem.

I've been using NIMO without problems. I'm reformatting this week and might give the ffdshow a try.

Here it is straight from the Doom9 of Doom9.org.
You installed the Nimo pack? The Nimo Codec Pack is evil[tm]! Happy reformating and fresh-installing your system! After that, stick with ffdshow or the XviD decoders. Just install the codecs you need, and no bloated packs!

These codec packs do nothing but contribute to problems on your computer. Just install ffdshow if you are missing a video filter, AC3Filter for your Dolby Digital sound, and any other codecs that you know you need. Don't try to install a bunch of outdated crap that will conflict with everything else on your computer.

Thanks.
Exactly. Nimo is possibly the worst thing you can do for compatibility of video and audio formats.
