Psychonauts - Major update out

Just logged onto Steam to find it downloading a surprise patch for this. It adds Steam achievements and Steam Cloud support! And here I thought it was an old, forgotten game.

Go Double-Fine... it's this sort of thing that makes us support you.

Linkie

Plus it's now available for Mac and there's an iOS app as well

I have it, but haven't really gotten used to it/the controls. Interesting that it's controller enabled, I might use my PS3 controller and give it another go.

I'll be back playing it soon as well. I quite liked the keyboard controls but will have to dig out my gamepad to try...

But first, I've got the new Humble Bundle stuff to play

I loved Psychonauts. I'll probably play through it again sometime for the achievements. I never did get cadet rank 101, even though I thought I had done everything I could.

I played this game when it was new on the PC way back when. Even at that point I could use a USB controller with a PS2 layout. I'm not sure why anybody would try to play a platformer on a keyboard.

I had to stop at Gloria's theater because of the AMD graphic card bug. For some reason no matter what I did the textures would disappear and the game would become unplayable. I'm going to fire it up tonight and see if this was fixed. I'm hopeful that between new drivers and the patch I can finish it.

Sole reason I picked up this game. Carpal tunnel makes it unbearable to play mouse+kb at times.
The controls on 360 controller were wonky to work with. I don't think I was able to map the 2 back triggers. But it took some getting used to & completed without much issue. Don't know if they changed this with Steam version.

First time I played it, I was always high & drunk, then got stuck at theater & gave up, moved onto something else.
Picked it up years later & ran through it, completing EVERYTHING. While I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the game, I won't be doing that again. Too bad didn't have achy's last time around. >.>
Awesome game, highly recommended if you have not played it yet. Wish there were more creative imaginative games out there like this one.

So many great moments...
