Psychology and English alike?

Am I the only one who has made the conenction that english and psychology are very much alike? In psychology you analyze people and draw conclusions upon them, in english, you analyze literature and draw conclusions upon them, you also analyze the author and draw conclusions about them as well.

Fairly true, and probably why many English/Psych majors vacillate between one and the other. Communications is another one that you can throw into the mix.

analyze x and draw conclusions upon them? doesn't that pretty much describe every field of study out there?
