my cat has never really gotten into a fight, she has made a commotion one time or another when another cat came into her backyard but that was about it.

So the dogs roam freely but only in the backyard?

I don't know, I consider it fighting when one animal dies. Doesn't have to be another cat.

I used to have a cat many years ago. I don't have a cat anymore because a) I discovered I'm very allergic to them and b) my wife is afraid of them.

Anyway, I used to have a cat called Emma. Emma was a spayed female cat who was a great mouser. If it was in the house and smaller than her, it was dead.

Outside she was a killing machine. She didn't kill many birds though, they always stayed up in the trees and Emma didn't climb often. (only to run away) If was ground-based vermin, though. She killed it.

She had this habbit of catching things (mice, moles, small children) and dragging them into the house alive where she would play with them for awhile before eventually killing them.

Our neighbor's loved her. She kept the entire area vermin-free, except for squirrels. Our dog was the squirrel eater, but that's another story.

Emma is in cat heaven, now. She was lost to cancer several years ago. She was a good cat.

my cat isn't bring the birds into other peoples condos, just mine, its home for the kittie. WHY THE F*CK DO YOU HAVE TO YELL when your point is not even valid here?

actually my neighbors want us to take off the bells she currently has because they want to trim down the bird population, so there is no annoyance to anybody and i always fully respect my neighbors. DAMN,

you can't get a 4-5 year old cat declawed, that is just mean. you should only do it when they are very small kittens.

they roam freely in the backyard, if you want to call it a backyard, i live in a condo, the "backyard" is small, thus the reason i have little dogs.

i wouldn't exactly call a cat vs a bird fighting, it is more of a massacre, but that is the food chain (unless you are a vegan, you can't argue this) and that part doesn't really bother me, it is just her bringing it back home and eating it.

server is still down, the pics will be back up shortly.....

Previous statement made by bob4432 clarifying the backyard issue. Emphasis added to assist the dim:

well i thought my cat jut gave it up, not bring home a bird in almost a month, but today she brought home another one. she is getting really smart, she use to come home and meow really loud and show everybody her prize, this time she just came in, ran under the bed and ate the entire bird. i guess it is ok if she eats the entire bird, i just needed to vacuum up about 50 feahters...i did go buy some of the fishing cowbells that i will put on her shortly though...

anybody know if it bad for her to eat the entire bird, feet an all?

uh, she can eat the entire bird with bones and all?

edit: usually my cat (s) just play with the bird like a toy but they don't eat it.

Well, my deceased cat Emma ate a mouse once. I mean ate everything, not even fur or blood left!

The only reason we knew was because Emma started meowing alot and acting like she was in pain. We took her to vet and the xray showed the remains of a mouse in her intestines. She managed to pass the "remains" without the need for surgery.

So if your cat is like mine, it'll be OK.
