Psychedelic colors and then power off

First of all, I've got two 4850's in xfire with one of the two daughter connectors linking them.

If I launch something like Starwars Galaxies, I can play just fine.

If I launch Eve or 3DMark06, I get some REALLY psychedelic colors for a few seconds before the whole thing just powers off.

What's interesting: http://i36.tinypic.com/2wokgg6.png Is that too hot for a GPU?

Is that (blue arrow) just a monitor for a 2nd fan on the same card (which would make sense why it's not moving since the card only has 1 fan)? Also, that drop-down box at the top only has 1 card listed even though I have 2 cards installed. If I go to the CrossFireX tab in Catalyst, the Enable CrossfireX box is checked so it should recognize that I have both cards...

Ideas?

Interestingly, if I install one of the two cards, I can do things just fine. Games work without color anomalies and without crashing.

If I put them both in, it borks. I have new ATI drivers as of this morning, it's a clean install.

I believe that you are suppose to use both of the crossfire bridges to function properly. Most of the HD4800's can go up to 90C just fine

You don't have to use either one. It's just a faster way to communicate than through PCI-e. One is much faster than none, 2 is slightly faster than 1 or so I understand. Solved the problem, though, in another thread in Video. The power supply has 2 rails and can't handle the two 4850's.
