Agreed, I grew up watching my dad play Unreal and Quake, got into Halo and Unreal on the original Xbox as well. However, there are so many non-shooters. Heck, two games I've most been excited to see launch are Planet Coaster and Detroit: Become Human, neither of which is centered around shooter mechanics. I even passed on Gears of War 4, simply because it seemed like a stale franchise (not bad, just not something I needed more of).

Fundamentally useless.

Me: "In the last 2 years (meaning since E3 2014, or write after that story came out), games have shown an excessive desire to focus on diversity--and not in a natural, healthy way."

You: "Well, this article from before you were talking about says something different about a different data set."

I'm not going to spell it out for you, the 18th person I've tried to, because when all you can do is miss what I said from the start, it's not worth my time to do anything other than point out your inability to read.

Your petulant insults would be much more effective if you used quotes to quote what someone actually said.
