I am looking to purchase a new PSU and have been eyeing the Hiper brand pretty closely. They've got some really nice looking units and they're not that pricey. However I am trying too understand which is a better rating to have: "Dual + 12V" or "4 x 12V independent rails". I am guessing that having independent rails is better but is there anything necessarily wrong with the "Dual + 12V"? Also what does PFC stand for and why is it important?

Thanks.

No. I would rather have four +12V rail rated at 18A each than just two rated at 22A each.

And I would rather have one fat 12v rail. :)

Agreed, 3 and 4 rail designs are pretty flexible.
