I took some old computers apart and made two. A PIII for my wife and a PII for my kids. The only things I did not change in the cases was the power supplies and the hard drives. The PII runs great but having problems with the PIII. Are the voltage requirements different on these systems?

Are they both normal ATX mobos or is one or both a name brand mobo (like from a gateway or dell). Name brands have been known to occasionally use proprietary ATX pinouts. Some of those older big name PSUs lack the 3.3v rail entirely and/or have other nonstandard pin arrangements. IOW, you could blow the mobo or PSU if they don't match. The voltages (+12, +5, +3.3, -5, -12) are the same just may be arranged differently.
