PSU wire load (?)

Say you're powering two hard drives.

Is there any point in using leads off two seperate wires coming from the PSU, vs. two leads off the same wire?

i.e. in the first scenario, if you had a modular PSU, you'd need to plug an addtional wire set into it (basically the reason I'm wondering.)

Let me know if that made no sense.

more leads right off the PSU are generally better, depends on the load/amperes a certain device draws. You dont want to draw too much amps from ONE wire/soldering point... But for a couple HDs etc it should be ok since they dont draw that much power i think.
