My case is on its way with an included Aspire 500W PSU. I know these are not the best power supplies, but it comes with my case no matter what (i really like the case) and I am thinking of waiting until i get a second video card to upgrade my power supply (a year or so). Do y'all think that i'd be okay with that power supply with just a single 6800gt for now? (i'm using an nVidia nForce4 SLI deluxe mobo, there will be 6 case fans, 3 hdd's using power)

If you're going to get a better powersupply later on anyway, I'd say get a new one now. It would be a real shame if you were unstable (or worse) due to lack of power.

I think nick1985 is running an overclocked 2.7ghz A64 and 6800GT on this same PSU so it should be OK. PM him for futher questions. For SLI though, I would go with a better quality PSU and stronger 12V rail.

For SLI?

You're going to want to pick from a few select powersupplies if you're planning on running SLI.

A Seasonic 600watt would handle SLI just fine.

There are some other good options from PC P&C, Enermax, Antec, etc.

My 6800gt does fine with an a64 and an old enermax 330w; not enough/clean enough power can cause serious stablity issues but a lot of people seriously overstress the nessesity of a good PSU.
