PSU voltages off (-12V and -5V), is this bad?

I looked up my PSU voltages today, and here's what I saw:

-12V at -8.43V
-5V at -6.14V

How important are the -12 and -5 lines? Could this be why the PC is hanging up?

Those voltages aren't used anymore. Ignore them.

what about the +5v and +12v line along with +3.3?

OK here's what I got

VCOREA 1.79V
VINR0 1.79V
+3.3 3.31V
+5 4.87V
+12 11.61V

The PSU is an Antec True330, btw

The PC crashed twice in two months since I made it. I had assumed it was the Seagate harddrive (it's having some read errors reported by SMART) But perhaps it's the PSU.

List all of the components in your pc that way we can determine if your PSU doesnt have enough power for all your devices.

Your 3.3,5,12 voltages are fine.

Even if those voltages aren't often used (though the -12 could be used by your serial ports), they still should be in spec (+/- 10%) (+/- 5% for positive voltages). Could be a sign of something wrong in there. Even though the neg voltages are produced by separate switching circuitry, those circuits might be making noise that could leak into the pos circuitry. I would replace it under warranty.

Most likely the crashing is a result of software conflicts or something of the sort. Software problems occur all of the time compared to hardware problems (Except maybe configuration problems). Are you using Windows 98? If so, then that is probably why.

Asus A7N266-VM
256MB DDR266 Crucial
AXP1600, coolermaster HSF
TDK 40x CDRW
Lite-on 16x DVD
Seagate 80GB IDE

that's it, no floppy. Running win2k SP2 with nforce 1.13 drivers. no other drivers.
