PSU Tester

Howdy folks,

I got a PSU tester to check my PSU, and every light lights up but the -5V led.

Can anyone tell me what that is?

I'm having a problem where when I plug in the PSU, my computer fans and lights go on without my turning on the computer. When I do turn it on and all goes well, and turn it off, it's fine, unless I unplug it or turn off the PSU at the switch. Then next time I plug it in or turn on at PSU, everything starts whirring again.

Enermax sent me an email saying, use a tester. It's either the Mobo or the '"power supply remote line."

Anyone know if the -5V reading (or lack of) has anything to do with the "remote line?" (whatever that is)

Look at the 20 pin molex power connector on the powersupply and you should see a wire missing. That's why the tester doesn't read the -5v line.
