PSU terms?

i'm looking to buy a new PSU to replace my 480W Thermaltake Silent Purepower which is not so silent.

wile researching this forum, came across a few terms i'm not familiar with:
1) SLI
2) when someone talks about 12V rails

Probably going to go with OCZ modstream from newegg because I really like the modular power cords.

The Silent Purepower is silent if you use the controller knob thing to tune it down.
SLI = Scalable Link Interface. nVidia's technology for using two VGAs at once, much like 3DFX's SLI (Scalable Link)
12v rails = How much ampage that the 12v rails can handle at once. Higher is usually better. Two rails is a specialty.
