PSU suggestion 600W

Any suggestions? I am looking for one that I won't have to replace for a long time and hopefully in 50-70$ range. Reliability + price please.

On a side note, I can just easily remove old psu and put this new one in right? no fancy smazzy stuff? Also, do I need to worry about psu compatibility or just if it's the right wattage I'm good?

I have a TR2 600W old one that needs replacing due to age.

will power gaming computer with gtx 970/i5 2500k no oc;ing

it's late, enjoy the messy post -_-

for real though ,thank you for any suggestions with reasons and links (America-Amazon or Microcenter)

2500K and no OC'ing? Unless your motherboard simply doesn't support overclocking, then you're really missing out. GTX 970 would benefit from a bit of CPU overclocking in many games, and the 2500K has tons of potential.

First off I think 550W is powerful enough for your setup. TR2 600W isn't very high quality anyway, and a high quality 550W unit will certainly be more reliable at high loads than the TR2 600W.

Can't order from elsewhere than Amazon or MC? This is what I would've recommended:

Rosewill Capstone 550W $70 ($40 AR) @newegg. Sick deal, considering the rebate ; and worth it even without the rebate. This unit is Gold rated, great quality (based on a high end Super Flower platform), and backed by 7 year warranty. Also, XFX XTR 550W $80 ($65 AR) @newegg is quality wise top notch (equivalent to Seasonic X series), fully modular, highly efficient, very quiet, and not too pricey.

But if you must order from Amazon or MC, then: XFX TS550W Gold $67 @amazon. This is a non-modular unit but otherwise close in quality to any other Seasonic-build Gold unit like the XFX XTR or the G series.
