PSU Question and Other Recommendations

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to build a cheap computer that will be used mainly for administrative work (word processing, accounting, etc.) and I was wondering if a good quality 350W (Antec SL350) is good enough to power the following system:

AMD X2 3800
ASRock Mobo with Integrated Video/Sound/Lan
1GB of DDR667 Memory
WD 250GB SATA Hard Drive
LiteON 16x DVDRW

Also, I am still not entirely sure about the ASRock all in one motherboard.. I would probably prefer a real video card, so I was wondering if someone could recommend me a very cheap but good video card?

Same for memory... can someone tell me what would be a cheap but good memory (brand/speed) to get?

Thanks a lot for all the help.

The SL350 should power that system fine. Do you already have it? If not then you can get with a little bit better quality.

350W is plenty, esp. if you're running no vid card. Antec is fine too, but shopping around will always be beneficial. I've still got my Antec 350W from many moons ago and it's still going strong.

As for vid card, I'd throw that over the fence to the Video forum - many gurus there that'll be happy to lend a hand. Make sure you let the forum know what you want the video card for (hard core or casual gaming, photo editing, web browsing, etc.) and your price point.

Any of the well recognized brands for value memory should be good: Kingston, Corsair, Mushkin, OCZ, etc. If you're not looking for bleeding edge and not oc'ing, just find a couple of sticks at your price point from a decent manufacturer and you should be good to go.

I'd recommend the Enhance ENP-5140GH. $56.+sh from eWiz via Froogle normally, but that Seasonic is a really good deal right now. When it goes off sale or if you want just a little extra headroom, then the Enhance is the one I'd go for.
