I have a Powmax 480W PSU connect to a Gigabyte 8KNXP Ultra (Rev 2.0) with a P4 3.0c. Everything works and everything is connected, and when i press power, my machine doenst turn on. And i put in a different PSU, (Antec 350w) and my system boots up. What is the problem?
I bought the Powmax a few weeks ago, and it worked fine on my old machine. What is going on?

Sorry to say, but powmax are known to be cheap/crappy psu's. I got one in two weeks ago and half the 4 pin connectors were dead. Many of these type cheapo psu's don't have the wattage/power they claim.

I have to agree with Fern, Powmax PSU's are generic and don't put out their rated power. I had one in the past and it caused all kinds of problems.

The problem is the powmax. They are move or less generic garbage compared to better brands.
