i was able to cop an Enermax Revolution85+ 1050w psu and it just arrived today. i put everything together with my new rampage formula, but the system wont fully boot. i push my power button, the system lights up, then turns off, then it lights up again and stays powered up, but i get no signal to the monitor. it's basically like a system hang. i cleared CMOS...but the problem still persists. nothing's going smoothly for me these days.

Any beeps at all?

Try turning the computer on with just 1 stick of RAM and the videocard while everything else is disconnected.

If that doesn't work, try booting without the videocard to see if you hear any beeps -- if you do, it's probably the videocard.

If not, then try to turn the motherboard without RAM and Video. If you hear any beeps, you probably have a bad stick of RAM.

Try booting without any RAM at all to see its behavior. Then boot with RAM to see if the behavior remains the same.

If the same behavior with or without RAM, then its probably the RAM -- either bad or incompatible.

If not the same behavior, then, try booting without a processor this time to see if behavior changes.

And so on...

I hope this helps. This method was how I diagnosed an earlier build (no VGA signal at all) and found incompatible RAM to be the culprit.

Rampage formula you say? nice board but what cpu are you using?
those type of problems are usually caused by cpu conflicts so try booting with an older lower frequency cpu then do a bios update
could also be your cpu 12V power connector... if you are using only four pin with a higher spec cpu then switching to 8 pin 12V atx will be much more stable

hope this helps
