PSU problem? Mobo problem? I just seem to have problems all the time!

i was able to cop an Enermax Revolution85+ 1050w psu and it just arrived today. i put everything together with my new rampage formula, but the system wont fully boot. i push my power button, the system lights up, then turns off, then it lights up again and stays powered up, but i get no signal to the monitor. it's basically like a system hang. i cleared CMOS...but the problem still persists. nothing's going smoothly for me these days.
