Hey fellas, noticed this while playing with sandra...

+3.3V = 2.72v
+5v=4.73v
+12v=12.16-12.22v
-12v=-12.12-12.03v
-5v=-5.05v

Measured by Sandra while running Prime95 for a few hours.

Components include:

Antec SX830 case with stock Antec 300W smart power PSU

EPOX 8RDA+
XP 1700+@2.3GHZ 1.8v
Geforce 2 MX
IBM 75GXP 40GB, ATA100 7200 RPM
52x24x52 Lite-On rebadge
Floppy
5x Panaflo L1A 80MM fans
Sk-7 with 92MM Papst (50-60CFM)

No other devices in the system...

Do you think these voltages are low/off? (especially the 3.3v)

Should I worry about stability with a new video card (GF4 or Radeon95/7xx)?

The only thing that is OK in my opinion is the 12V line. The 5V line is in the range to start worrying about it and the 3.3V line is just flat out horrible. Your PSu should regulate voltages within 5%, the 3.3V line is almost 18% off. I would not put any new hardware in there and I would RMA this to Antec or buy a new PSU. That PSU should be able to hold that load, so I would say it is defective. Also, Sandra does have some quirks. Double check these voltages with Motherboard Monitor 5 and in the bios. The best way to do it though would be with a multimeter if you have one.

Those are almost exactly what my antec 300 was reading before i tossed it. At first it wasn't to bad but when i upgraded my ati 7200 to a g4 4400 I couldn't get a stable oc to save my life, and running normal speeds i was starting to get the complimentry reboot/freeze. I upgraded to a pc power and cooling and that fixed that :) Does your bios report the same numbers? I'm pretty suprised you're getting @2.3ghz with voltage like that.

You need a new (better) PSU. The 300 was not meant for newer systems like yours. True Power 400 series will work wonders for you.

I use an Enermax 431 watt unit and all my rails are at spec with very similar hardware to yours.

I have a GF4 Ti4600, P4 2.4GHz, 4 drive system running on a 300W Antec. If you're not having stability problems, don't worry about it. Of course, Sandra isn't exactly precision software so you might want to try something else to measure if you're really stressing.
