PSU or adapter replacement for Pavillion DV6000 ?

Is it possible the the power supply adapter is bad and not giving power or would it be the PSU?

What seams to be the problem? Your not really giving us much to work with here. Is the unit not turning on? If the battery isn't charging and the unit won't turn on then you could have one of 2 problems. Eaither the power brick has gawn bad or the jack when the brick pluggs into the laptop has a bad connection with the main board.

A Laptop's PSU is its power brick.

I am inquiring for a friend.He had no signs of power. I suggested he try unplugging it from the power strip and use another outlet. He did that and it worked.
