if i were to remove the fans off of a 600w psu and then use that psu to power a system that consumes about 250w of power, would everything run ok or would there be some safety issues i should to be aware of?

Want to trade your 600watt for my 250watter or 300watter(both run cool)?

Just PM or email me

If you take the fan out of any PSU, it'll die within a few minutes of being turned on, no matter how little load is being put on it. It might even take some of your other stuff with it, like your mobo and drives.

It's OK to take the fan out of a power supply. I did it when I ran a crack rack. I've also seen computers that had bad or dust clogged power supply fans run for years afterwards.

ok.......it depends....you should have -some- kind of fan going, ESPECIALLY on a 600 watter, just get some quiet panaflos or something.

if you go w/ no fans, it might run for years w/o hiccupping, it might die within an hour, who knows.
