How loud is the power supply in the lanboy compared to the Trupower series? Also does it do a good job keeping all the rails stable?

It's a little louder (it's hard to quantify this, it's kind of a subjective interpretation) than a comperable TruePower but not tons. Unless you have a bunch of other quiet fans and HDDs you probably won't notice the increased noise.

Theoretically the TruePower is better at regulating the rail voltage but these SmartPower PSUs are fine PSUs. Certainly as good, or better than most other PSUs that are around.

It's a good power supply. Doesn't have the temp controlled fans or fan connectors as do the truepower ones so it is slightly noisier. It did well keeping the rails close when I oc'd, very little change. Of course, depends also on your system.

Plus the included smartblue psu has blue leds behind each fan.

Can you take out the PSU and replace it with something different....like a Zalman?

Not a problem.
