PSU - How many Watts do i need?

I've never really concerned myself with wattage, but now I think I should. I'm building a new system and in the end I'll have something to this effect:

Asus mobo
AMD 3700+
2 Hard Drives
Audigy Sound Card
Geforce 6800 (which has a power adapter on it)
DVD-ROM
DVD+-RW

Is something like the Antec 430Watt enough or do I need to go for something in the 500 range?

A solid 350 watter like the Seasonic 330 would do most folks. The Silverstone (made by Enhance) 460 Watt is nice too.

is the 3700 a socket 754 or the new 939 version? If it's 939, and you're going PCI-express, then you will need a nice 24-pin PSU, most of which are around 500W. Personally, I highly recommend getting a socket 939 processor over a 754. With a 3700+ socket 754, you will have NO upgrade potential. You'd be better off getting a cheaper socket 939 Venice chip, like the 3200+ or 3500+, a ~$100 nforce4 Ultra board, and an X800XL or 6800GT, both of which are under $300 currently. The 6800 is barely faster than the 6600GT - the 6800GT and X800XL are often twice as fast as the 6800 and 6600GT. That will give you a lot more performance than a 3700 versus a 3500 or something.

When the XClio 450 (made by Channel Well just like most Antec, Enermax, et al.) comes back in stock at Newegg (was supposed to be in last Fri., now they claim Wed.), that would probably be ideal. A great buy!

Yea i took a look at that XClio 450, looks to be a good one from the few reviews it got. Does anyone have this PSU and can comment from experience? I've always spent ~$50 on a PSU and don't wanna be spending close to $80.

i have the xclio 450. i pulled it from my main rig and put it into my htpc. its a good unit but its not an antec, enermax or ocz. if you aren't oc'ing then its the best buy around i'd say.
