A little story here, about a week and a half ago I came back from vacation and found that my hdd would stop responding, (to me this means that all processes such as internet browser, foobar, games, irc, and windows would all lock up) I was told to get a new hdd which I did. In fact it arrived today and I reinstalled most of my programs and w7 on it.
Now as of about 30 minutes ago my computer just shut off. Completely, I get a greenlight on my mobo but other then that it won't turn on. I'm guessing its due to my PSU, I was using a 700w OCZ modxstream and am looking for a replacement

Current rig:
CPU: i7-2600k (yes overkill it was stupid)
Mobo: p67 pro
8gb ram 1600mhz
hd 6950's crossfired (also stupid and overkill, too scared to mod to 6970's on that psu)
1tb seagate barracuda hdd (new hdd old one was a hitachi deskstar 1tb)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=56790&vpn=HCG-900&manufacture=Antec&promoid=1300
I've heard good things about antec and its on sale.
I'm from canada and prefer to use NCIX for shopping

Update: checked all cables, reseated my ram, made sure everything is proper, checked for scorch marks on the mobo.
It turned on just fine but I still get problems with my hard drive "hanging" or not being detected or what ever you would like to call the issue.
Maybe it isnt a psu issue.

1. When exactly did you build your rig?
2. Is your motherboard the B3 revision to fix the Cougar Point chipset SATA bug?
3. If your motherboard is not the B3 revision then what SATA port (SATA_0 - SATA_5) is your HDD connected to?

1. January, I built it with the release of the 6950's and sandy bridge stuff
2. If you mean the recalled versions and such no its not. I kept my mobo
3. I'm using port 5 I believe, that's what I recall from when I last checked the bios

Then there might be a possibility that your SATA port is degrading and causing the problems. Read more here.
The fact that the 3Gbps and 6Gbps circuits have their own independent clocking trees is what ensures that this problem is limited to only ports 2 - 5 off the controller
I also forgot that the P67 board that you have comes with 8 SATA ports. I did a build for a friend of mine a while back with the P8P67 Pro and it is currently the non B3 revision board due to the fact that he is too lazy to wait for a swap. Instead I switched them to the non affected ports and so far there are not much issues.

IIANM you could switch all your SATA devices to the SATA 6Gb/s ports and use the 3rd party Marvell ports for your optical drives. Refer to this video for a visual representation.

I did the same thing as your friend, I didn't swap out the mobo when I had the chance (first rig build and thought psh that could never happen to me.) Right now I'm doing a memtest just to make sure once that's done I'll swap the SATA devices to the new ports. Can I still swap mobos or did I miss out on that?

Not sure about a deadline for the swap but I think the swap ended a long time ago. Even if you're short of SATA ports you could just add in a SATA PCI card if necessary.

Well, I did as you said and swapped the SATA ports to the 6gbps and it seems to be running great, no hangs or anything however I decided to do a GSmart Control test on the hdd and i got an End to End Error, if you're familiar could you help out a bit? Thanks for everything already I really appreciate it

Not familiar with end to end error but there are HDD issues that occur but I ignored. It happened to my laptop HDD which showed all kinds of error but that was at least a year ago and still going strong without a bricked HDD. If you're worried anyway you can RMA the HDD if in doubt since you've bought it recently.

SATA bug spotted in the wild! I wonder how many of these we are going to get over the next year or so?

OP, it can't hurt to call or email ASUS to see if you can still exchange it. Intel gave them a lot of money to take care of everything, so chances are good IMHO. Luckily, it sounds like the workaround is working for you though.
