GTX 260 requires 2 6pin PCI-E connectors....the VX450 only has 1 connector...
Might as well buy a PSU right off the bat with the right connectors, unless you don't mind a bit of a tangle of wires using molex to PCI-E adapters.

:Q Off to an auspicious start!

While technically the 450VX isn't a suitable match for a GTX 260, it will probably work.

What do I do about the 6pin problem? How the gtx 260 requires 2 of them but it only comes with 1, do I have to get a whole different PSU or what? Everyones giving me different answers.

You can buy adapters for it or buy a psu that has them already. I would buy a psu that has them already but that's just me.

Because there ARE different answers.

True Answer: It will not work because video card needs two PCIe plugs and power supply only has one.

True Answer: It will work fine because most video cards come with one adaptor so that plus the one on the power supply will give it the two PCIe plugs necessary.

True Answer: On average 450W is considered too little to support a high end graphics card like the GTX 260.

True Answer: The Corsair 450W power supply in particular has more +12v power (which is the voltage graphics cards need) than most other 450W power supplies, so it will have enough power for a GTX 260.

Got that?

Sorry about the confusion ROBOdilf.

To reiterate what Zap said, It will and will not work. It won't work straight out of the box because it doesn't come from factory with the proper connectors. It will work however if you get the right adapters so you do have the right connectors.

Basically it comes down to this. If you want to get some adapters and use those to get it to work that's fine. Or if you want to return it for a PSU that has the proper connectors from factory, that's fine too
