PSU good enough for specs?

I was wondering if the Antec Sonata's 380W PS is sufficient for an Athlon64 3000+ 754 system with a 6800 GT. (minimal drives) I do plan to do some moderate overclocking later on. I assume I'd have to replace the PS to achieve decent overclocking?

If the PS is insufficient, what case would you suggest instead? I'm looking for one preferrably with 120mm fans and a simple elegant look. Many I've looked at simply have crappy PSUs. Would I be wasting money if ditched them and replaced it with a quality PS? Is it worth paying ~$15 shipping for a case? ... Is the Super LANBOY that ugly in person?

I admit that I knew choosing components for my computer would take some time but I never knew the case would be the component that hung me up the most. I'd prefer not to spend over $150 for a PS and case, but if that's what needs to be done for me to be satisfied, I'm welcome to hear it.

Even with overclocking? (3000+ to ~2.3ghz) I'll be using the same mobo as you. Are you using the stock PS for that machine?

Thanks for the reply.

Heh. I remembered looking at your machine before. I just couldn't remember who it was to see it again. Thanks. I think I'm confident enough to go with the Sonata now.

BTW, been a fan of Anandtech for a few years now. (registered a long time ago under a different name) It's nice to finally ask a question here and have it answered so timely and well.

Glad to help you out. Welcome back to Anandtech! May I suggest visiting the Distributed Computing forum to find a way to put your blazing new system to use while you aren't using it?
