Hi guys this is my conf:

Asus P5E
Corsair 2x1Gb XMS2 con DHX 4-4-4-12 pc6400
Hdd 400Gb WD
Pioneer 112D
Q6600 G0 Kentsfield
2x hd3870
Thermaltake modular 550W Tr2 RX, 17A+16A on 12V...

I think the PSU is not enough for the system and won't be enough for any system upgrade, so I wanted to change it with a Zalman ZM-600 or a Xilence 700W Gaming Edition (they're the only two I can take)...
The Zalman has 4x16A (64A) on 12V...while the Xilence has 3x18A (54A) on 12V rails...

Which one would u suggest to buy?

Take into account that I want to overclock the CPU to 3.4 more or less, and I want to push the graphic cards too! :D

Let me know asap^^

About 450W or better. A quality unit that is. For example the VX450/550, HX520/620 would all be great choices. If your looking for modular cables then go for the HX series. I would recomend either the VX550 or HX520.

Why are the zalman and the Xilence psu's the only ones you can use ? You can't simply multiply 4x16a and say it has 64a total, 64a*12v = 768w, you're basicaly saying a 600w PSU can put out 768w on the 12v rails alone, not to mention the 3.3/5v rails? For a overclocked qaud, which can easily pull 150w, and 2 HD3870's, which can pull 100-125w, I'd want a qaulity 500w unit or better, in fact, I'd feel more comfortable with a 600w unit. A 620hx like mpilch mentioned, or a 650tx. The zalman is a decent unit btw, so if your TT 550w isn't up to the job, then I'd prolly rather get that one then the Xilence.

The 16A per rail on the Zailman are the rated max each rail is able to handle and not what each rail actually receives. As you can see to the right of the 12 rail listings is the listing for combined power on the +12v rails which is 504W. So 504W divided by the 12V gives us a max of 42A for which the +12v rails can receive. So any combination of loads on the +12v rails cane be made as long as no single rail exceeds 16A and the max of 42A combined is not exceeded. If either one is bound there limits the PSU will cut out on you. So the unit can only supply 42A on the combined +12v rails at the max. This is plenty of power for your proposed system but there are better option out there. The Corsair VX550W offers 41A on its single +12v rail. Its a much better PSU. Now the VX550 isn't modular but the HX520 is and offers about the same amount of power as the 550 and performs better then the Zailman.

Keep in mind that on multiple railed PSUs the amperages listed on the label are the current limiters for each rail. Its a fail safe feature to prevent you from overloading the unit and causing damage to your system. Also all the wires and connectors attached to each rail can only handle so much current so the limiters are there to prevent a fire from the wires and connectors overheating.

Mpilch did a good job of explaining why you can't simply do 16x4a and think it can put out a total of 64a. As for choosing between the zalman and the xilence, I don't know the Xilence, I do know the zalman though, and it used to be on jonnyguru's recommended sub 150$ PSU list.

Zalman ZM600-HP

* FSP OEM
* Four +12V rails (42A combined)
* Suitable for SLI and Crossfire (not necessarily G80 or R600 and up)

If it's all he can get, it will do.

Feanil, what shop you ordering from? Let us pick one, because your mostly coming up with no name PSU's that no-one has any knowledge about, so we couldn't honestly recommend such a PSU

you won't know the shop because it's near my city and I have to buy there because it's where I bought the Thermaltake, so they can give me another psu just by paying the difference...

The PSU I can choose are:
1)Zalman ZM600-HP (20?, price I have to pay as a difference with the Thermaltake)
2)Xilence 700W Redwing Gaming Edition (-15?, it costs less than the thermaltake)
3)Lc Power Arkangel 850W (30?)

I have to make my mind in three days ...help me ^^

The config it has to support is:
Asus P5E
Corsair 2x1Gb XMS2 con DHX 4-4-4-12 pc6400
Hdd 400Gb WD
Pioneer 112D
Q6600 G0 Kentsfield @ 3.6Ghz (9x400)
2x hd3870 Sapphire @ 820/2400
Flip Up Lcd Fan Controller and 55 in 1 Card Reader

It has to support future upgrades (i.e. I don't want to be tight on resources^^)

Just ring the shop and tell them you want a corsair 620hx, maybe they'll have it in 3 days ? If not, get the zalman. I can't find any real good info on the Lc Power Arkangel 850W either. That's usually a bad sign :p

Hmz Tagan's qaulity seems to be so-so. I can't find ANYTHING about the Tagan U35 600W though, probably a discontinued product or one that can only be bought in Europe, where no-one bothered testing it properly. I know 50euro seems like a lot mate, but if you buy that Corsair 620hx, everything will work fine, and it has a 5 year warranty. So 50 euro's, for good qaulity. Those HD 3870's must have costed roughly 200 euro's a piece, what's 50 euro's compared to that ?

But, if you still want to be a cheap bastard, go with the zalman !!!

ok thx m8 ^^ maybe I'll go for the Arkangel because it has got 3x 6+2pins Pci-Express...and it means I would be able to use it for a new graphic card ^^

and it has 60A on 12V...and LcPower is not a bad mark...
