PSU for DFI expert

The first one and the last 2 all have the EPS plug. I didn't think it was mandatory though. If the 8-pin isn't necessary, which one?

The board was tested here with just 4 pin with no problems. If I were setting up the system & planned on keeping it a while I would get the right P/S. I'm not an electrical engineer so I'd have to trust Oskar on that one.

Although the test by AT worked out okay without the 8-pin EPS plug, I'd strongly recommend doing things the right way to avoid problems. Since you are getting an SLI board, of the 3 that have the EPS plug, go with the Antec TP2.0. It is SLI-Certified while the Fortron and Sparkle are not. If you don't ever plan to install a second card and run SLI, who cares, but I'd just get it to begin with.

NeoHE 550 is also EPS.

Well, I'd be careful of that. Antec may not have the problems of XConnect, but modular power supplies still sound a little cheap to me. Beyond that, much as I don't normally give retail site customer reviews much weight, people don't seem to like the NeoHE at all.

Yeah, I know. It just sucks that that PSU fills all my criteria (SLI, EPS, long cables for P180, sleeved cables). I could do without the modular, but the rest I really need.

i'm thinking about the enermax liberty 2.0, with 22A on the +12-1, and 22A on the +12-2, SLI certified modular design. Also, i heard it's the best one out there right now with 99% efficiency
