Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and need help with my PC.

I've been having lots of problems with artifacting with my 8800GT, however my 8600 GTOC worked just fine.

This is my current PSU:

http://www.apevia.com/Products....asp?KEY=ATX-AS550W-BK

Is this enough for my system?

3x SATA HDD
4x 1GB RAM
AMD Athlon 6000+ (dual core)
Asus Silent night CPU cooler
7x Fans both 120 and the smaller ones
4x USB devices
1x USB Card Reader
1x Floppy Drive
1x DVD Drive
1x DVD RW Drive
M2n32-SLI Deluxe board

If not, can anyone recommend a good PSU to replace this one?

Many thanks in advance guys, looked on many forums
:)

Run GPU-z while gaming and tell us the max temps for GPU core, MEMIO, and SHADERCORE. It's probably overheating

My GPU Temp is at 60C After playing EVE Online for around a hour - I have actually ordered a Zalman V700 (or similar, cant remember), which should be here in a few days. So if it is overheating this should sort it out.

Is the PSU good enough for the card?

ok:

GPU: 61C
PCB: 48C
Fan Speed 100%

At this point Eve went all multi coloured and crazy.

Surely 61C isn't that hot and it must be down to power?

Does my PSU have 26A going through the 6 pin PCI-E connector to the card?

I'm not sure how to work it out, even though I have read about it. I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to electrics etc.

No. Each 6 pin PCIe connector supplies up to 75W or 6.25A.

Your power supply should be enough to handle your system, but Apevia (formerly Aspire) power supplies are junk.

If you have the cash, and upgrade to something like a Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, or PC Power & Cooling wouldn't be a bad idea anyway.
