I want to know whats the appropiate PSU for this mid budget gaming rig

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Skaidancer/saved/2ZmX

I want a semi modular 500 or 600 but dont know if 600+ its too much or the 500 its too low so i need to know which one is the best (i have seen other build with that cpu and graphics card with bot 500 and 600 so i think they are fine but i dont know what problems can i get in the future or which one fits me better)

note: First time builder :)

You don't need more than 500W PSU. The Corsair PSU is not as good as some other choices in terms of quality (Corsair do not make their own PSUs). Unfortunately there are not many fully modular PSUs at this power size. One which is better is:

Silverstone Strider Plus ST50-F

Good resource for PSUs is HERE and see the sub-thread on why you should not buy a Corsair CX PSU.

If you go up to 550W which is more than you need you have more choices

Can some1 tell me what would be the diference between choosing a 500 , 550 600 or 650?

The wattage. :D Usually the higher watt PSUs will have more cables (i.e. SLI support.)

I don't know why everyone is knocking on Corsair, they are decent. I have 2 CX430's and a TX750 in service right now and they have been rock solid. EVERY manufacturer puts out a lemon or two... bar none.

If I were to buy a 500w'ish PSU that wasn't a Corsair, I would get this Seasonic.

I think the Corsair CX500 is fine for your budget and power needs, as it can definitely handle your setup and it's only $25 AR.

You would rather pay $75 for an M12II when there's a G550 for $70? :sneaky:
