PSU and sleep mode

Just had a PSU from Ultra die on my back up server. I normally keep the server on sleep mode except when its time to back up and transfer files to it and since the PSU was relatively new, I was wondering if this might have happened. Thanks.
 
What model? The almost free X-Connect?
Yes it could go bad. RMA it, keep it for a spare, buy a better PSU.


ASIDE NOTE: The Ultra X-Pro 600, 800 and 1000W units are provided by Seventeam and are good units.
